Now, you can enjoy the freedom of the open road plus the convenience of traveling with a friendly guide. RV 760LMT, our first navigator for the RV lifestyle, offers RV-friendly features that are advanced though easy-to-use. RV 760LMT is designed for RVs of nearly every size and for drivers of every experience level — like Lisa and her family.
Greetings, friends and family! Summer means another RV road trip. This year, we traded up and bought a new motorhome better suited for this family of five. Bixby is covered in fur but she’s an equal member – just ask Luke and Emma!
Learning to drive a “Class A” took some practice but we’re getting the hang of it. We love using a nüvi® in the car so our newest RV accessory is the RV 760LMT navigator, a great “traveling companion” even for “old pros” like Kyle and me.
This year’s destination is straight west: Colorado Springs. RV 760LMT has advanced trip planning – impressive! We used BaseCamp™, the free Garmin software, to plan a scenic route and mark interesting places along the way. Garmin Adventures lets us share our road trip online, so stay tuned!
Before hitting the road, we put a few stats in our RV 760LMT – like RV height, length, and weight – and it gave us a customized route1. No worries about tickets for being on a road “restricted” to cars or wondering if we’ll fit beneath an underpass. LOL.
Wow! This new RV is bigger than our first apartment! RV 760LMT has a 7” display that makes it easy-to-see from the driver’s seat. Voice activated navigation is pretty great, too. When Kyle and I give spoken commands, RV 760LMT responds quicker and easier than our 8 year old.
Trust me, behind the wheel of an RV, there are a million things on your mind. Trying to read street names doesn’t have to be one of them. Would you believe, RV 760LMT has Garmin Real Directions™ with Garmin Real Voice™ that speaks directions like a human being? “Turn right after the truck stop” or “Turn left before the gas station” is easy to understand.
The kids were heartbroken to hear that some campgrounds aren’t pet friendly. RV 760LMT has an America’s RV Parks & Services directory, so it’s easy to find places that allow Bixby. We can also search for “creature comforts” like on-site laundry, electric hook ups and onsite water.
This was the day Kyle planned to show Luke how to “live off the land.” Too bad, someone forgot to tell the fish. Good thing we had “dinner insurance”. RV 760LMT keeps us constantly “in-the-know“ about shops, restaurants, and services that are Up Ahead, so we were able to find a grocery store for supplies. And a drugstore for sunburn cream.
What a day! Living in a state known for twisters, we’ve learned to pay attention to the weather. This afternoon, we crossed paths with heavy rain. With RV 760LMT and a free smartphone app called Smartphone Link2, I checked live weather radar. When we saw the storm was moving with us, Kyle and I made an executive decision: find a place to wait. Up Ahead showed a truck stop at the next exit, so we decided to pull off.
That part of the drive was new. photoReal junction view on the RV 760LMT showed us what the interchange looked like, so, even in the rain, we knew what to expect. That eased the stress and so did Active Lane Guidance, another handy feature that guided us to the lane we needed.
The rain delay was unexpected but a nice chance to relax. Luke and Emma played cards, Kyle napped, and I knitted AND talked to Mom – RV 760LMT has Bluetooth® technology so I can call hands-free!
We woke up to a beautiful sunny day. After a hearty truck stop breakfast, it was time to get back on the road. Wouldn’t you know, clear weather also brought construction delays. RV 760LMT comes with free lifetime traffic3 so we knew what was happening, even without listening to the radio. At one point, traffic was so bad, our “guide” suggested an alternate route. RV 760LMT has free lifetime maps4, too – easier to follow than paper ones. I’m happy to report that even traffic delays are more enjoyable when you’re in an RV!
Not far from the Fossil Park, we blew a tire! Once again, America’s RV Parks & Services directory saved the day. We called a local tire repair service and a nice guy named Ken came out and fixed it fast. Just a minor delay, thankfully. Kyle, Emma and Luke were thrilled to spend the rest of the day dinosaur hunting!
Did you know most RVs don’t have a rear view mirror? Seriously. When we bought the RV 760LMT, I’m glad we added a wireless backup camera. Comes in really handy. And it’s about as close to bears as I’d like to get! LOL! Heading home tomorrow.
