Track Weather Wherever
With World Wide Weather from Garmin, you can easily check weather for anywhere on the globe. World Wide Weather gathers radar, satellite and meteorological reports from around the world and makes them available on an on-demand basis through the Iridium satellite network. With your Garmin flight display and a compatible satellite datalink – like the GSR 56 – you can access this information in your cockpit from virtually anywhere in the world*.
View METARs, TAFs and More
Text-based weather information is available for highly populated areas, remote airports and every place in between. Quickly access detailed METARs with current temperature, dew point, precipitation, wind speed and more along your flight plan. Or pull up TAFs that show predicted weather for up to 30 hours in advance. You can also get PIREPs, SIGMETs, AIRMETs and winds aloft where available.
See Radar, Cloud Cover and Lightning Strikes
In the United States, Canada, Australia and western Europe, Garmin provides high-resolution radar and satellite imagery to help you keep an eye on weather patterns as they develop. Additionally, in the U.S. and Europe, you can monitor lightning strike data, which can help you reroute your flight plan to avoid potential storms.
